This one is the previous gen dice with the more "realistic" skull shape as opposed to the more stylized skulls. Bought it to have one in this style, but also to compare the red vs the white on the glow dice. When unlit, I rather prefer the white, even though the red is slightly more legible. When glowing, the white shows up plenty well, but this red is even more bold against the glow. If you're going to use it mostly in glow-state, red has the advantage. Also, if you charge it up sufficiently in the evening, this thing will still be glowing in the morning.

I don't know what material they used for this beast of a D6, but there is no joke about it glowing. Any bright light will work well, and if you hit it with a UV light source... Holy Crap! It also rolls well and with authority across the table.
